Optional: back up your PSV and SRM files.Run your game with Load Content and verify that the save data can be accessed and loaded.Alternatively, you can run your game once, identify the created SRM file and replace it with the one you made. Place these files in your RetroArch’s saves folder. If you have many MCR files, you can use a batch renaming tool or a simple command line argument like 'ren *.mcr ?.srm’.Next, you’ll need to change the file extensions from MCR to SRM.If you have multiple game saves, make a new Memory Card tab, import another PSV and save out the MCR. The file name needs to match the name of your disc’s image file. Hit the Save button and choose (*.mcr) as your save file format. To efficiently mimick this, we’ll need to use MemcardRex to save one memory card file for each game. I specify one game because RetroArch creates and uses a unique save file for each dump it runs. Run MemcardRex and in a new Memory Card tab, import one game’s PSV file(s) into a free slot.It is also available on Github but there are no releases so you’ll need to build it. I was able to successfully load my old game saves into PCSX ReARMed and relive some old gamer memories. Keep in mind that Retroarch may not detect 100% of your ROM files, so ensure that the ROM files are named correctly. Step 1: Find the “Scan Directory” area of Retroarch and use it to scan for your PS1 ROM (s). Then, follow the step-by-step instructions below. To play a PlayStation 1 game with Retroarch, add your favorite PS1 ROM to the system. Just want something that both runs and looks like a PS1 game and there seems to be a few options already. Just wondering but for both accuracy and speed, which PS1 core do I want to be using? Not interested in changing the looks of the games or adding filters and so on.
